A headache is an important message from your body. If you have frequent headaches, consider it a great opportunity to identify a problem before it gets worse. Do something proactive that will make a difference and possibly prevent the next headache. Masking symptoms can lead to other more serious problems, later. That means pure, clean water, only. Beer, soda, juice and coffee don’t count and they are actually very dehydrating. Only water counts as water.

Staying hydrated is more than just drinking more water. You can actually get dehydrated by drinking too much water–if you aren’t getting enough salt. Salt is an essential nutrient in the diet of every mammal. If you have ever owned a horse or a cow, you know what I mean. You must leave salt out for these animals–and you never have to tell them to eat it! They are driven by instinct just the same way humans are.

It has long been known that a lack of salt could devastate entire villages and populations. When tribes began to migrate, they did so along the ancient Salt Trade Routes, to ensure that they would never risk running out of salt.Salt was once used as currency because it was known to be so valuable and essential for life. The word “salary” came from the word salt.

Salt your food to taste! Don’t be afraid of salt. It is essential for the body and necessary for proper hydration. If you eat too much salt– you will get thirsty. Drink more water! We are salt water creatures by nature. Our blood contains salt. If you are not eating processed food–you must add salt to your food. If you are switching to a diet of unprocessed foods, you may not be used to salting your food. There has been a lot of controversy over salt intake. Let your body be your guide.
